Cyber-Phishing Website Detection Using Fuzzy Rule Interpolation

This paper introduces a novel detection method for phishing website attacks while avoiding the issues associated with deficiencies of knowledge-based representation and binary decision. The suggested was performed using Fuzzy Rule Interpolation (FRI). FRI reasoning methods added benefit enhancing robustness fuzzy systems effectively reducing system’s complexity. These benefits help Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to generate more realistic comprehensive alerts in case attacks. proposed applied an open-source benchmark dataset. results show that obtained 97.58% rate reduced false alerts. Moreover, it smooths boundary between normal attack traffic because its nature. It has ability required security alert representation. In addition, from were compared other literature results. showed accuracy this work is competitive methods. can anti-phishing even if one sparse rules does not cover some input parameters (observations).
